Define

The Old Admiralty Building, a historic and world famous grade II listed building, was undergoing a major transformation and refurbishment to modernise and maximise its potential. The Department for International Trade planned to move into the building as part of a wider reorganisation and strategy. As the moving in date approached, they were running behind on the actual logistics of getting in.

Design

Definia deployed a team of six consultants to manage the move. This team consisted of PMO, change experts and programme management skillsets to ensure the physical and people change element was properly delivered. Given the impact of Covid-19, the logistics of moving equipment was tricky, but plans were made and executed with the required precision.

Deliver

The Definia team was built around change and communication, which were the crux of this project of work. Then, with added property experts, we set about getting the customer ready to move. Time was always an element and our team delivered as part of a wider programme to ensure that the customer was ready physically and culturally for this new beginning.

“Definia made a significantly positive impact and the change directorate is very grateful for their help… and for the Definia agent’s help on working with us on such tight and changing timelines.”
