Leading Global Beauty Brand

Define

Hair care company was in the early stages of separating from multinational beauty company, with an end date of February 2022. The client was looking for a team to support the contract separation process and with over 600 suppliers, they needed a team with experience in contract separation and in-depth expertise in technology. They also needed an effective contract repository and reporting to underpin this part of the project.

Design

Definia worked as part of an integrated programme alongside other consultancies and stakeholder groups. With tight timeframes and challenging criteria, we deployed an experienced team with significant divestment experience as well as a wealth of general technology category experience.  Having successfully delivered similar projects before, the team were effectively onboarded and started to make an impact from day one. With the organisation in a state of transformation and many other consultancies involved, the team had to navigate a challenging political environment to ensure they met very tight deadlines.

Deliver

Definia helped to develop new procurement processes and refine existing processes to suit the transformation programme. We provided procurement and commercial support across the full technology landscape, covering ERP, business applications, infrastructure, cloud, digital and IT services. As part of this, we sourced complex, high value requirements including Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, global managed print and end-user computing (EUC) as a service.

Partnering with the IT delivery teams ensured adherence to programme milestones and our strict timetable, and partnering with the finance team ensured third party requirements were being managed within the programme budget. In all, we supplied procurement solutions for 800 business applications with over 450 vendors over 10 months

We also assisted with their legal requirements, creating and maintaining a contract repository, providing support to programme governance forums and managing novation and Rights to Use.

Overall, we helped the client make over €20m in savings.
